2003-11-19 19:52:00 UTC (Wed) Last dinstall run before the new revision gets out. This is the last chance to let any packages slurp in. 2003-11-19 21:20:00 UTC (Wed) dinstall is finished now, I'll perform the last check for new and updated packages in proposed-updates and will create the final command list for our ftp-masters. ftp-masters make all required preparations for tomorrow's dinstall run, i.e. mark all packages for release etc. 2003-11-20 19:52:00 UTC (Thu) dinstall runs and moves files into proper places and generates meta files (Packages, Release, Changelog), i.e. *makes* the revision -- or this happens during the day before, depending on what katie requires. No changes are possible less than one hour before the dinstall run since creating the index files (Packages, Sources, Contents and Releases) takes about 50 minutes. 2003-11-20 21:52:00 UTC (Thu) The mirror pulse is sucking the new revision onto their disks. 2003-11-21 10:00:00 UTC (Fri) Last edits for the press release, afterwards announcing the new revision of Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 aka stable.
